Default Anybody loose a blue Beanbag chair?

I found one floating offshore a few days ago. It was a little bumpy and the chair was blue. Even at that, I saw it when it was still nearly a mile away. This brings to mind an idea.

If you had a bright colored beanbag aboard and the boat sunk, stay with the beanbag. It would greatly enhance your chance of being spotted. Why not add grab handles to the beanbag? The handles would give you something to tie to to keep it in the boat and provide added floatation and security if the boat sank.

I strongly doubt they could be certified as a floatation device but I'd sure feel a lot better about my chances if the beanbag was in my grasp.

BTW, the beanbag I found had been floating long enough to have a host of Razor Clams and Barnacles.

Maybe I could sell my wife on a beanbag chair if I could call it a safety item.

All of our products actually do come with 2 grab handles. We have worked in the past for a certification but the numbers weren't there with the current market. We may resume that process in the future though. As of right now we can't make any specific claims of a floatation device but I can tell you our products have already saved a few lives.

No we have always had handles. You might have recieved an incorrect shipment. We do also manufactre products w/o handles. Does the product have an E-SeaRider product tag sewn into the bottom of the bag?

El Tiegro on the Florida Sportsman site lost one. Check the West Central General info section.

The same guy, El Tiegro, also posted on SFP about losing one. Off Tarpon Springs.

Yep, it was a blue tear drop. I found it off Crystal River, about 60 miles N of Tarpon Springs. I didn't pick it up because I knew for certain that it would always stink.
