I can honestly say this is the first new vehicle of any kind I have ever bought. After waiting about 5 months it came in Saturday. I got some miles on it Saturday but Sunday I wanted to see how it towed. Went to hook it up and guess what, no ball. Seems that when you pay that much for a new vehicle they would throw in a ball. Anyway, no biggie. Stole a ball off the wife’s truck. Hooked it up, lights worked great.
It had plenty of acceleration and with the twin disk front brakes, it stopped on a dime. I hit the interstate for a couple of exits. At 70 MPH I was taching a hair under 3K. Smooth as it could be. However, when I hit a clear spot on the interstate a gust of wind hit me and I changed lanes. I don’t mean I drifted, I changed lanes. Thanks goodness nothing was coming. I guess I need to work on my wind anticipation skills.
Got to the ramp and backed her in. Whoops, I don’t have a parking brake. Instead of relying on the tranny I asked a couple of kids who were there to bring me a piece of 4x4. We chocked the rear wheel. Boat ran great. When I got back to the ramp I put the 4x4 right where we had it before. Then I backed it down right to the 4x4. Got the boat on the trailer and it pulled it right out. Pretty steep ramp too.
Took the country roads home and except for a little binding in the hitch when I laid it over in the curves, it did great! BTW, 38 MPG City and 46 MPG Highway for all you gas guzzlers out there.
Does the boat work like an inverted spoiler and float as you pull it , thus reducing drag
Gus, that's the only thing I can think of. It towed wonderfully but was squirrely as he11 in a crosswind. I guess a truck blocks the wind and doesn't allow the "lift" that I experienced.
Now, you bring that nice rig up here to Tidewater and let 'ole Reelwork give 'er a ride for a few days..

Yep, its a 2006 Police Road King. They are only available to LE agencies and Shriners. BTW, I'm not LE. Got it through the Shrine program. Actually came with the blue and red lights and police stickers for the saddlebags. NC State Police have no sense of humor so I left them off, at least until the next time I get drunk and want to have some fun.
JFYI the guy in that pic of yours likes boy toys, has bum chums, he's a tinker bell, a fruitcake, he wines and dines south of "your" boarder.......he's a fagit! So are you sure this is the guy you knew??? Good thing you didn't say anything like, "this good buddy of mine" .....hahaha I guess you need to be a trucker to get that one.
When are you going to stroke it and put on a pair of V&H pipes?
I've got to get used to the difference between this one and the Heritage I sold first. I'm thinking Rineharts.
BTW, I am very disappointed that none of you called BS on this one. 29 and ant1 sorta questiond me but none of ya actually cried bull2hit. Do ya'll really think I am crazy enough to tow a boat while the motor is still in the break-in period?
I knew you were kidding about the towing... I guess it's called common sense!

OK just so you don't feel let you down a second time - yah right, as if you are going to tow the boat with that hog.
