Yesterday was a good day, picked up the boat, went home and loaded all the basics and went to the lake for a trial run. The new steering worked very well, played with the trim tabs again and attained a top speed (GPS) of 45, 1/2 tank of gas no other gear except manatory USCG.
Also, the permit was pulled for the screen enclosure, things are looking up...if the weather holds over the weekend I might get to the coast for some fishing, or at least a boat ride with the wife.
Booked hotel room in Savannah, Ga. for wife's B-Day at the end of August, staying for four days at the Hyatt Regency, doing the private tour of the historic district in a horse and buggy, then to the water for a paddle boat tour of the water front, then back to the dock, will be picked up by horse and buggy and then off to dinner at (Lady & Sons) Paula Deen's place.
Going to try Uncle Bubba's Seafood also, and then the Pirates Inn. Should be a good trip, Wife should be happy and we all know if: "MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO BE HAPPY"
Thing are looking up.
