New Jersey??? What are they thinking??? I'm born and raised here, but this takes the cake. In 1942, Sea Isle City, N.J. deeded over some land on 47th Place (bayfront) to the State Of New Jersey. The understanding was that the State needed it to dredge and was going to deed it back when they were done. They never did and Sea Isle sold the land to a developer who built homes there. Now N.J. in their infinite wisdom has decided to TAKE THE PROPERTY BACK from the homeowners on 47th place, claiming it belongs to the State. They were kind enough to offer the "owners" a way to buy it from the state. The article is in today's Philadelphia Inquirer.
The State will never win this battle but who was in charge of this decision to do this to it's own citizens!!! Smells real BAD!!!!! |
