Default Salt Water Fishing Shows

Is it me or are the sports networks(ESPN, ESPN2, OLN), devoting less time to salt water fishing shows? With the wind blowing like is has been every weekend, they are the only way I can get my fix.....
ESPN used to have saltwater Sunday, but all they have now on Sunday is Spanish Fly. Barta wasn't even on Friday night on OLN(I must be desparate...). Sure, if I want to watch bass fishing and the FLW there are a gazillion programs on. But if I want to watch shows devoted to salt water fishing, then my choices are very limited compared to previous years. The schedules are never consistant-OLN is the worst of the bunch-and you never know what's coming on from week to week.
The folks in charge of programming need to get a clue....this is the time to fish, not to hunt; and there are lots of us who fish salt water!!
At least next weekend's weather looks somewhat promising, so maybe I won't get stuck in front of the TV again.

What is a bass? Is that the bait fish they are trying to catch on those TV shows where the guys are slapping themselves in the face when they are retrieving line?

Unfortunately, there are many more willing*sponsors are selling bass fishing stuff . . . plus*bass tournaments*can more easily*filmed and at less*cost than offshore tournaments . . . fishing plus competition win every time

Bass boats are within the financial reach of a much higher percentage of the population than are the offshore battlewagons . . . money and a larger viewer audience wins ever time

Auguste,
I agree to a certain extent, but there are PLENTY of folks who fish inshore and it costs no more there than filming the BASS circuit. I just think the networks have BASS for brains......
