This was supposed to be rain. I can't wait to get to Ft. Myers next week. Is this the freegin winter that will never end or what - well gotta go shovel....

We just got 6 inches! I came back for the weekend. This will be my LAST snow storm EVER! Driving the boat and dogs down to Fort Myers next week for the final trip!

We were in Bonita Springs two weeks ago. Traffic was a nightmare. It took us three hours to get to Sanibel Island. We gave up going out to dinner. Every place had a two hour wait and that started at 5pm. Since we aren't "regulars" down there, we didn't know to only go to places that take reservations.
And I won't even mention our two trips over to the Miami Boat Show.
But they have great weather. We haven't been this tan since I don't know when and we are on the water five days a week in the summer.

Ft Myers is a neat area - it was our first time on that side of the state. WE got another 1 1/2 inches last night. We had 60 last weekend so we had ice under the snow -Will trade this white stuff for the Florida white stuff

Hey LISG,
I feel your pain regarding that snow. That's why after 43 years I got out and hightailed it to FLA. Today I was down in Miami/Key Biscane working a charter boat, with 75 degrees, clear skies, little wind, and water so clear you could see 10 ft down. So come on down.

and - thanks I lovemyboat - for the heads up - it was busy trafficwise last year near the sanibel/ft meyers beach bridges but not what i would call crazy - maybe I need to make some dinner reservations now!!!!

and weakfish - let me buy you a beer and lunch or dinner - I know all these names and it would be nice to see some faces!!!

LI Sound Grunt - Yeah man! Job called me and asked if I would be interested in moving down. Well, it really wasn't a tough desision!

I've been down there for a month now. Were packing as I type! I will be driving down next weekend with the dogs and boat. My wife and kids are flying down.

COME ON DOWN! THE FISHING IS 24/7 and better!

LI...I'll be there a week form Wed.. You'll see me jogging on the beach almost every day. It's the only way to get time away from the in-laws

Usually wering something form Philly....Eagles, Phils Big 5 etc. I'll be staying at Ilsand Winds Condos. I'll try to give you a buzz...if the wife let's me.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk... Darn, I feel for you folks, I had to get up yesterday to put down my crabgrass preventor and spring fertilizer while working in a t-shirt then ran down to the lake to see the striper (freshwater) tournament weigh in with the winning fish weighing in at 17.62 pounds. Was to head offshore tomorrow from Baldhead island, NC but the wind has other intentions.
