Hopefully around May I will be getting another Dog. I currently have a almost 1 year old Yellow Lab named Shelby. Shelby was named by my wife and I love her name don't get me wrong. Well the wife again came up with a name, but this time it is Sidney. I'm not sure if I like that one. Was wondering if anyone had any female dog names dealing with water, boating, fishing or along those lines.
Oh yes, my new dog again will be a female Yellow Lab. Since I leave at the beach, and my dogs are always on the beach, I feel the name should relate with something dealing with the beach.
Had a black lab beach dog named "Gettum" by her first owner. Given the breed's retrieving inclinations it fit her well. She has been dead for over 15 years, so I'm sure the moratorium on naming another dog Gettum has expired. Good luck with the new dog!

A friend once told me labs should be named using one syllable. I do not know if that is true, but he said so you can call them fast. My Labs name is Denver Lakota Rufus
I have a black/brown lab named Hershey. I heard a dog name for a St. Bernard named Gumbo. I thought that was a great name for a dog. If your labs are like mine they are couch potatoes and grow in gerth pretty quickly. My next lab will be named Gumbo.
Just call her beach. Then when you want her to go outside just open the door and yell get out of here beach. Or you could stand on your porch and yell get over here beach.
I must have logged onto the wrong forum! No wait........yeah, right at the top of the page it says "FREE BOATING FORUMS".........yep I'm in the right place.
Just had to click on here to see it for myself..............
