Default What would happen if you cut a skin tag off with toe nail clippers or scissors or a

knife?

It would hurt and bleed alot. Tie a piece of dental floss around it real tight and tighten every day until it falls off

You can buy a scalple at a medical supply store, start witha very small one first, it will bleed but with a bit of presure it'll stop.

The method mentioned above will work too, also I'm pretty sure you can freeze them off or use a compond "W" type treatment. I've done the scalple treatment on a GF and had no problem.

You can liquid nitrogen kits at the drugstore. The kind for warts. Same principal. Guy at work doing DSC tests all night in the lab used liquid N2 and Qtip to get rid of his.

Using clippers did you end up with a stump much like cutting down a tree

What the hek is a skin tag? Ahh, never mind sounds gross and most men would probably just pull it off and let it bleed.

What is the silliest post ever made on THT....maybe this one? What would happen if you cut a skin tag off with toe nail clippers or scissors or a

Nothing discernible. Honestly, I don't think I can even find where they were.

toe nail clippers, just do it, feels like a little prick from a needle, one tip pull it out so you can get as close to the skin as you can. No big deal.

Where is the skin tag? Not that I really want to know...But if its in an area that rubs like the armpit or crotch its gonna take forever to heal and can be a real nuisance. I had a tag removed once by a doctor and it actually took a stitch to keep it from reopening.

Garett -- last year I was at the dermatologist, mentioned I had a skin tag and asked if she could remove it. "Sure." She stretched it out with tweeters and snipped it off with little scissors, put a band aid on it and said "surgery, $150-bucks."

I've done it, no problem. Hold an ice cube on it for a bit, and snip it off with new, sharp clippers. Put a dab of neosporin on it and a band aid.

I trim them all off w/ fingernail clippers. I had one on my eye lid that hurt like hell, the other ones hurt for about a minute and were fine after that.

I have cut about 10 of them off w/ fingernail clippers and once the pain goes away everything is fine. A buddy of mine has them cut off by a Dermatologist and pays like $80 everytime.
