That's very similar to what I would like to have. There was one in a second hand/antique furniture store for about $100 that was gone by the time I could get there. I found it on Craigs List (hate paying retail).

I have one like that - only difference is a forest scene with a deer etched in the glass.

Might be pretty difficult to find any antique ones as people years ago put there guns were ever they could.

You would be better with a gun safe.

if you are looking for a display case here you go, http://www.louisianasportsman.com/lp...28f72f540b2dd1
I personally would invest in a safe as I wouldn't want people other than close friend's / family knowing what I have as well as fire protection that the Cannon's, Winchester, and the like offer.

2 safes - 1 for firearms & 1 for ammo. They have fancy finishes if located in living space

Like a tackle box, they cannot be too big

Make sure it is fire rated

If I remember correctly, you're the one that can make that. Nice work.

I need a safe. Getting it up three flights is a problem, may have to go on the ground floor.

Any good safe company can have your safe up as many flights as you like with little issues. Its all motorized now, really blew my mind and I only had 4 steps to get up. Old guy did it all by himself.

How about a gun safe and then get a cabinet maker to cover it with pecky cypress? You can keep a lot of stuff in a gun safe.

My glassed-in oak case holds nine along the back and three on wings that fold out the same opening as the doors. It was custom made for a friend by Ahmish Mennonite carpenter .
Also have safes.

Not sure how you can say that security is not an issue with guns. If your house is every broken into there goes all your guns! A gun safe, (I prefer Liberty safes, made in the good ol USA) are not only a safe, but a fire safe as well. You can find older one's around starting for a couple of hundred bucks. Lifetime Guarantee as well. Just my opinion.
