Swing over to Bordentown Nj to Atlanta 3200 Single pickup Single drop
Run over to Lincoln Al Pick up a load of Honda's back to VA beach. 3000 3 to 4 drops. in va beach area.
5.5 to 6 days work at the max.
at 25% as a driver what would you make.
If you don't mind work, there is always money to be made. Its "NOT" a white collar job.

Right now, I don't know a transportation job that a driver would make less than 55k a year on for OTR. just starting out and thats only bumping docks.
The boys that haul gas, home every night and weekends make 55 to 65
For most on THT its nothing they would want to consider cause it does cut home time. The choices and options are there.

Don't follow me around cop, you can't abuse your power here.

Buy the way, I sent 3 pilots to them, I liked them but they didn't fit with thier attitudes in the airline business where crews were involved.

Like I said, you got a problem with me, let's chat.

Debugger, great name hah. I too am in IT, however I've only been in the industry since February working for a consulting company on SAP. I'd be interested in your opinions of the different companies out there (Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Wipro, etc...) as far as pay goes and employee satisfaction, have you jumped around alot or stayed at one company for your 20 years???

Finance/acctg degree or Marketing/advertising (sales) degree. Minoring in healthcare can certainly help on the sales side. my wife and i followed the above path and have done very well for ourselves. it took me quite a few years in my field of acctg to surpass her income on the sales side.

Regardless what you do, do not believe the false promise that college gives you anything. if you lack drive or if your not that bright it doesn't very much matter what course you choose. You'll still be like the majority of college grads finding that they can make more bartendering than what their degree should earn them.

Medical - Radiology especially Ultrasound / Nuclear Med / MRI Tech

Medical Field / Healthcare is largely recession proof - people are always gonna need it

Office hours - nonemergency work

Depending on locations and credentials $45-65K a year straight out of college or cert program.

$75K and up as experienced and addition credentials are aquired.

No, I'm not in the field, I'm a Master Chief in the Navy but the wife is (and its one of the reasons I have a 27 Judge)

You guys are thinking small. How about President of the United States (or any politican for that matter). You can become a millionaire over night. Write a book, and have the corruption machine buy millions of copies and make you even richer, even though it may be garbage. You get a awesome pension, travel round the world for free, play golf when you want, free lodging and meals for you and your family and your closest 2000 friends. And, when you retire, you can become a multi-millionaire by giving speaches and legally taking bribes. You can even get buildings, roads, airports named for you, even though youre a dumbazz or a crook. What a great job. Are we stupid or what?

Plastics, Benjamin.

I see alot of healthcare suggestions. I'm in the field and, indeed, there are shortages and needs abounding with no real abundance of workers in the future apparent. But, healthcare is increasingly under the purvey of the government. With that comes less independence and control. If you wanna be your own boss, sell insurance. If you wanna work for the man, healthcare should be stable for a really long time.

Exactly. Largely recession proof, yes. Completely, no. Co-pays are rising, insurance is sucking more and more and people are skipping semi-elective stuff. If there's no one to pay for it, people can need it until the cows come home but won't seek it out if it's not getting paid for.

If I were 18 again I'd still go for IT, but specialize in IA (information assurance). IT's one of the few fields where the .gov is giving full-ride 4 year scholarships. Salaries range from $60-$120k, and can go higher if you later lean toward a managerial track.

If you want nothing to do with college, I'd pick plumber or electrician.
