Random Quote: Neccessity is the Mother of invention. Hunger is the Father.
When someone stops their car in the middle of a busy street, and waves to let someone slowly pull out of a parking lot.
It seems like a nice gesture at first -- and the person doing it no doubt "feels good" which is why they're doing it -- but that person is actually inconveniencing five or ten cars behind him, by making them stop, too. Further, there can be a ripple effect to traffic on that street that can last a few minutes.
Thus, in the end it's stupid and selfish act, under the guise of being a "good deed."
Come fishing with me 40 miles offshore all day. Break a $200 rod by 1. laying it on the floor -and- 2. closing a fish hatch on it. Drink all my beer, eat all my food, loose all my bait. Take home over half the fish we catch (of which I cleaned all of it).....
Throw me a $20 bill when stepping off the dock to 'help cover gas'.
Douchbaggery at it's finest.
We sure will have to do it again... sure will.... HA!
this peticular asshole gets around, I have a few DB aquaintences like that. only happens once.
I also like the DB's that don't give any money, so you kinda hint around, and you get the '' we didn't catch any fish'' or '' I'll make it up next time'' wrong answer
People who talk on their cellphone while walking their agressive dog that they can barely control on a leash even while not on the phone.
People who take their dogs out without even being on a leash.
People who take their dogs out without being on a leash and then proceed to give me crap about calling them out on it
Tourists
People who drive hybrids and act smug about it
People, generally tourists and weekend warriors and always in the summer, who bitch at me for "speeding" in my town only becuase hear my cars with catback exhaust drive by in a lower gear in which I select to ensure I don't speed in the busy tourist area. Exception is a local, one who bitches about my truck in 1st gear at the marina and keeps his dog off the leash and gets in my face everytime I confront him about it, can't keep a fishing buddy because he is notorious for throwing wakes in his 42' Henriques in no wake zones
99% of people who go through the Point Pleasant canal
People who fish in the middle of canals, inlets, submerged jetty at BI
People who do 40 in a 25 in the summer on Central in Seaside. I.E. everyone
People who fail to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk when theres posted signs stating pedestrians have the right of way at every crosswalk.
LEOs who conciously watch the last 2 DB offences regularly and don't do a damn thing about it
Muggers on the beach while surfcasting. Last weekend, set up a bait rod to keep off my back. Got a take on the clam rig. By the time I had dehooked the fish, 2 anglers had posted up infront of my sandspike for my bait rod and the spike holding my plugging rod. Became the DB by releasing not 12" away from them, walking in front, and casting my bait back out. They left and I don't care, I felt good. Didn't wake up a 3AM to get my spot stolen by a weekend warrior. Within 10 minutes of that, guy to my north throwing a 1/2oz metal tangles the crap out of my bait rod, needed at least 2oz to effectively fish that day. He got the tangle out at my expence. 50+yds of my 50lb PowerPro went into my cooler. Similar crap with muggers on the boat.
People who give me crap because I have a foreign car as my daily driver.
People who break into my house and steal my TVs and CPUs and the LEOs who never got my property back and the insurance dbs who gave us less than half of what the electronics were worth.
People who park next to me
People who can't park
On an airplane, those who stand 2 inches away in the isle to talk to a friend sitting in the window/middle seat
Tenured professors and teachers who don't give a damn about the quality of their lectures. That brings me to Unions in general. I don't like em.
Way too many about drivers, most previously listed.
Screw it, at this point I'm angry. Everyone is a DB and I'm sure I'm a DB in their eyes. I can live with that. I need a drink.
Guys... Thanks for the laugh this AM, needed it...
DrJim: NJ versus NY LOL
C'mon.... You know New Yorker's (as part of their drivers ed) were TRAINED to drive in the left lane (fast lane) just to piss the rest of the world off And the best part is when they accomplish the feat of having a 1/10 mile gap between themselves and the cars in front, they sit back smile, and feel the uphoria of pissing anyone off with an NJ plate Well... Let me tell ya... It's working because as soon as I see that gap, my first thought it's got to be a NY'r...
DL... I travel a fair amount for work (sales) and this is one of my pet peeves in life... I think these DB REALLY think they are important by wearing one... ESPECIALLY the ones who walk around all day wearing that frickin thing. Reminds me of Alan (two and half men) when Girda's daughter had him get an earing and it got infected... "What's wrong with your ear??" hehehe... It's just my cellphone hanging from it... NOT!!!!! Airports, car rental agencies, resteraunts while traveling, Mommies in the supermarket or walking the dog after dumping the kids at school or play care... I'm sorry but your just not that important and I don't want to HEAR your BS...
Aggie: Ah yes.... the infamous break check... If someone is riding on your ASS maybe there is a reason for it...
If you dont know where you are GOING, don't be LOST in the fast lane!!!
JCB, very effective way to show my love to the DB in front of me when I pass... Sometimes they need a little waking up if you know what I mean as they are talking about absolutely NOTHING on their phones etc...
OK... I'm feeling a little better after a day trip down to VA and Maryland yesterday on business... It's Friday and were gonna try to coast (sp?) into the weekend...
You're in line to dump your boat and the ramp is busy. It's always one of the two. Some DB has to stop before launching and transfer his gear from his truck to the boat or another DB after retrieving his boat has to stop and block the ramp while he pulls the plug, shows his fish off or tie his boat down when he should pull out of the way for others. Ought to be a law against that.

Here's a little tip. When someone does that, go ahead and pass them, then pull in front of them in their lane (note: no need to cut them off, be safe about it). Then, decide that your windshield needs cleaning. The excess fluid from your wipers will blow onto the vehicle behind you, forcing them to turn off their wipers. Wait 15 seconds, then do it again. Repeat as necessary.
Remember to slow a bit after safely passing them let them get nice and close. Don't forget to look way up through your rear view mirror to tellem you know your pissing all over their car and want watch their face when you do it. Most effective use is during pollen season or db with windows down.
