No, BUT, given that Canada only has about 34 million people in which to draw from (1/10th the population of United States and well less than half what Germany does) Canada did GREAT!

Team USA didnt look happy, but if the canadians lost they probally would have drowned themselves in some maple syrup or molsons.

By the nature of your comment and use of upper and lower case letters to identify the two different countries indicates your pride is misguided. Pride is knowing who you are, not trying to display you are better than all the rest.

The US men’s hockey team wasn’t even expected to make a podium placement, so coming in second (silver medal) "should" have been a Great victory for the team.

In the medal ceremony when the American team gloomed in pout and refused to acknowledge the medals around their necks did more harm to the American image than the pain the American team felt in their hearts. Sports on this level is basically nothing more than advertising, America did NOT market themselves well at all in probably the MOST anticipated and watched Olympic sporting event of 2010. IMO someone’s ass should be kicked real hard for allowing the team to act the way they did for ALL the world to see!

I can understand their disappointment but too many (most) could not even muster a 'thank you'. Sad indeed.
