So sorry for your loss. My mom died 5 years ago and due to family circumstances I couldn't be with her and say goodbye. It broke and still breaks my heart when I reflect back on that time. I hope no one ever experiences that and urge all to let the past go, regardless of what happened and be with family that is departing!
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Having an extremely close relationship with my own parents i can only imagine the feeling of loss. Sounds like a remarkable man and American patriot. God bless!

Our friend Rick:
We all owe a debt to your Fathers generation that is difficult at best to repay. He and others like him are the reason we have what we have.
I understand the feelings you are going through, I lost my Dad a few months ago.
It takes time to come to grips with it and understand. Time is a great healer, but it will never take the great memories away.
When my Dad died, I bought my current boat and swore I would keep his rods & reels fishing.
Armed with your Dads memory and some rigs, get out there and fish his favorite spot for him.
He's there waiting for you my friend, it's a good place to let the tears go....
God bless ya'll real good......

Sorry to hear about your dad. That generation; espically the WWII veterans were the greatest generation ever. We do not know what making sacrifices are. Always remember & remind others of his service to our country and the sacrifice he made.

So sorry for your loss. This country owes your father and those that fought with him many thanks. They were true heroes. Sounds like he got the most out of life. We owe all our vetrans thanks, but our combat vetrans (old and young) are what makes this country great. Sounds like a great man.

Rick,
Sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my father back in 2001 at the ripe old age of 92. He, like your father, saw much in his lifetime and experienced things we will never know. You may find some solace in knowing he lived a long and full life.
Please accept my condolences and sympathy for you and your family.
Yes he sounds like a great man. I lost my Dad almost two years ago and still to this day will go for the phone to call him and tell him about the fish we caught or ask a business question. It ain't easy. Our prayers are with you and yours.
