That is crap.
Which idiot told you that CO2 only makes up 0.039% of the atmosphere?
Thats a link to reply here that you posted. If they do stop production it makes me wish I had kept the H1 I had. I had always hoped they would come out with something similar to it in the future. Owning one was an adventure in it self not to mention what the truck was capable of. Really fun truck to have but they are a maintenance nightmare if not kept up with regularly.
Somehow I want to believe that Hummer's demise was wrought at the hands of the bling crowd. If they had stayed on the H1 platform of cool, manly, do-it-all-better-than-others type of marketing, a whole different group of buyers might have kept them afloat with repeat and fleet sales.
Adding chrome and gold and 22' wheels gave into the concept of, "...this will be the family's "We've arrived and we're uber-cool". Those buyers probably traded at the end of the 1 or 2-year lease and never looked at a second one.
Sorry to see the concept fade away. Will they go up in value or will they continue to tank?

It's kind of interesting that a bunch of Saab fans can mount a campaign with lot's of global support to advocate GM reversing their decision to stand down and fold Saab while the Hummer user base just stands by and watches Hummer go over the cliff.
Very little military production remains on the books.
As far as the yuppie mobile H2 goes, it was a fad that quickly faded away...
Despite the feelings/expectations of the initial buyers, they weren't even close to the "real thing". Pretty much just a rebadged chevy pickup with different body sheet metal. It kept the rappers happy though.
And as usual, folks always seem willing to pony up for a cheaper priced knock-off of original products.
Bought mine new and love it,,,121,420 miles zero issues or problems.
Those who don't own 'em,,,should'nt comment,,,but then again this is THT where everyones a genious.

I thought the main reason the government bailed out GM was to save those jobs
Love my H2 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Considering buying one or two more before they disappear for good. But like Lprizman said, this is THT after all and you're all experts so I won't bother arguing. Even though the platform is a hybrid of several different GM models plus some all-new engineering.
