People have been dying in the jaws of animals since we first started exploring this place. Hopefully this place will never be so tame that that danger doesn't exist.

it always amazes me when people are shocked and horrified when animals do something like this...Steve Irwin, Sigfried and Roy, etc....

What part of animal instinct don't they get?

Steve Irwins was pretty rare... the irony of a ray taking him out is just shocking

I hear the Japanese whaler fleet is in route to take the whale for research and Bob Barker was seen crying at the bath house he was attending.

I feel horrible for all involved. The poor kids that watched someone being drowned has to be something they may never recover from. You gotta wonder what a killer whale that is kept basically in a prison thinks and feels. Like someone else said, what if they wake up in a bad mood. As massive as these things are you also have to wonder if it meant any harm, I haven't seen the video.

Not to make light of a such a tragedy but maybe they should consider David Lettermans video:

That was unexpected.

Too bad for the kids that saw it, that'll be tough.

Pitbulls of the sea!

Seriously, I was there last week with the family and that show was awsome. The trainer that was killed did a great job. This is very sad.
