I am totally against it. You cannot possible treat a fellow trooper the same way if he is a she. It isn't natural and goes against everything that makes you a man. If I am out in the field - jungle desert or whatever I am gonna be thinking of the damn broads when I should be totally focused on my mission. I can't even imagine the friction among the troops that this would cause with love triangles and macho posturing and all.
And remember how bad we all felt when we found out they captured 2 of our girls.
We can pretend we are equal and in many regards we are - intelligence, rights, etc. but you have to admit you ALWAYS act slightly different around women that men - at home , work, everywhere.
Its a biological thing that we cannot fight. Our women are too important - they have our babies and raise them and lets face it are more important to the survival of the species than men.
I have no problem with them being CEOs doctors lawyers politicians or President or anything that does not put them in an obviously and inherently dangerous situation.
And finally they just don't have the b@lls to do the kinds of things and make the decisions that have to be made in combat. Heck, they can't even get the buzzer ringing right and quick htinking required on Jeopardy. Also, simply biologicl.
We live in an almost virtual world where we sit at desks and produce products that don't even really exist that require no physical strength at all. Women are more creative have better concentration and patience and almost made for this shit. They even have relatively proportionately wider a$$es for the chairs to better distribute weight and deal with the stresses and physical demands inherent in office
The few things that actually require things that a man can do better like soldiering policing and firefighting should be left to the men. The women can be the administrators and the provide support services but where the rubber meets the road - men do it best. Its where we belong. Look - that movie Hurt Locker - ain't no woman gonna do that sh!t and comeback for more because it is her calling.
So what do you guys think? Should we send our women into combat to try to protect us?

Not combat no. The simple fact that pregnencies will happen makes me say no, absolutely not. Plus, shared misery is a bonding experience.. ask anyone in the military. Shared misery bonding people when they both also have complimentary and opposite naughty parts makes babies
I also prefer that my combat troops are able to shoot a guy in the face and not be shaken by it. Women just aren't built for that
The only way it could work is if it is an all female crew. But even then, some things such as firefighting in the close quarters of a sub requiers alot a physical strength. Between the fire suit, breathing tank (if the EAB) is out) and the pressure from the hose you have to be able to carry about 100 lbs.
Just another example of PC.

Heres one plus? They will be back at base every 6 months so the pregnant ones>>>
can get off the boat. This political correctness is going to destroy the military? Maybe they could put all the male gay dont ask dont tell seaman and officers on the same boat with the females so that they wont get pregnant?

Thats a good idea actually...
We should also form an elite group of crack, butch lesbians for ground combat operations. They are mean as hellfire and will certainly scare the crap out of the enemy
Also heard from a female that works with me that is in the Navy Reserve that now soldiers and sailors can now show public affection for those of the same sex.. In other words, holding hands, kissing etc. while in uniform in public.... Nice!!

We are going to get steamrolled when China decides to take us over
I can't see any good coming from this. Guys and girls do what nature makes us do. This PC and don't ask don't tell shit is not good.
When 130 GUYS go underwater for 6 months they still do what nature makes them wish they were doing.... what the hell makes them think 60 couples won't come up now?
Ironcially, a female officer on a Navy ship I did work on was charged with prostituion. Sailors told me at the time of her arrest she had $80,000 in profit from that venture while underway. Talk about a wamped out va-jay-jay
I did a Med float in 95 or 96 and there was ONE woman officer on the boat. What a joke. I say if women and fags want to be in combat, form their own unit and have at it. Not politically correct but whatever. I dont wanna be in a fightin hole with a fag...maybe the woman I guess

Being ex-Navy I know a bit about this. There was a rial of an all female crew by a European Navy back in the 80's. I can't remember all of the details but I do remember the biggest problem they had was that after a few months at sea, all of their menstrual cycles became co-ordinated and they had a ship full of PMS at the same time each month.
This is no BS.
Do some research. When women live for an extended period of time in close quarters, their menstrual cycles tend to align with each other.

Well that gives a whole new meaning to "Tour of Duty" doesn't it! IMO being charged with simple prostitution should not have been enough unless she was charged with prostitution 8,000 times.
Bob you stab at the heart of the issues.......Dave has a choice to help Peter or Ashley. Peter’s predicament is more direr than Ashley’s, but Dave toils over which to help first. And then there is always the problem of Dave does help Peter first and Ashley files a complaint of discrimination. So the problem rolls over and over and over again.
Not only does the introduction of woman in continuous close quarters create a sexual tension problem, but the introduction of woman also limit guy’s ability to talk openly and freely about certain topics. If the military want’s me to put my life on the line for the country the last thing I would want is to have to worry about is my P’s and Q’s of speech!
BTW I am against females serving in certain roles. Their body is different to a man's body. Why do we think they should be treated equally when in fact physically they are different?
A female fighter pilot pulling too many G's can cause issue with a prolapsed uterus.
I have been on a submarine and the close living quarters provide for little privacy. It is NOT the place for women. Although having said this, the Royal Australian Navy has allowed female submariners for a few years now.
I haven't spoken to any of my buddies recently to see how it is working out, but I can tell you I think it is a bad idea.
Clearance Divers that require physical strength.
And the other point I have often wondered, surely having a female on the front lines is more dangerous than a male. Imagine if they are captured. The first thing that is going to happen is that they will be raped.
