Just broke my fancy shmancy snow shovel. The rivets to the supporting arms broke off. I got a little too aggressive with the packed ice. Will try to fix and if not I will be one of those poor blokes at the hardware store this afternoon buying a snow shovel.

Actually I have my son finishing up shoveling around the mailbox. He is inside taking a break so I got to use a classic on him. ......

Think I will grab a beer and supervise.

I've had the aluminum ones and broke the rivets and bent the blades on them. Got one with the offset hangle in my garage and don't use it. The cheap plastic ones with the wooden handles work best, although I did crack the really cheap black on trying to lift ice.

The plastic grain scoop type shovel seem to be the best to me.

Ive thought the same thing for years. Shovels and reakes, I sell a few thousand of each every year and the sales have not dropped off.

I agree. I bought one about 17 years ago and screwed a metal strip to the bottom of the edge. I think it will last longer than me.

Handy tip- spray a little furniture polish on the blade to keep the snow from sticking. This will also help to keep snow blowers from clogging up...

Snow shovels help you find the popped nails in your deck
