Hey folks. I just got the kids PC back up & running. I have it set on a wireless router for internet access. I am running Firefox on my & their PC for our browser. I also have Webroot security on mine. I bought it a couple years ago & just renew it every year online.
Currently their PC has only whatever security is with Firefox. The stuff that I installed expired. It was Trend micro. I don't want to use that anymore. Is there a good online download that protects against viruses, attacks, etc?
for a firewall, I believe that Windows XP has one still fully functional, I have to check to make sure. Is there any online firewall downloads available for free? I hate having to buy, buy, buy all the time . Seems like a waste of money as fast as these things seem to become obsolete as new bugs keep popping up.
They give you some free updates through the year, but you still end up spending a small fortune between both PCs every year to stay "fully" protected. I have seen a post somewhere on here about the free stuff and read that it is excellent protection? I did a search but couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.
