Default Jewelry Shopping Advice

My 20th anniversary is coming up fast and I want to get my wife a piece of jewelry. I hate shopping for jewelry because it is one thing I know little about. Because I am paranoid about getting ripped off, I never buy her nice stuff. Luckily she is low maintenance .

Budget is $500-$750. Where do you suggest I shop? I'm a Costco member if that is a good choice.

Thanks - I hate this stuff. I'm even lower maintenance, so she is getting me a charter with a top guide in the area.

If you are going to go retail then Costco is a good choice. They are one of our biggest customers and many of our senior managers buy jewelry from them.

Another choice is Blue Nile. Very safe and well respected on-line outlet. Bluenile.com

good luck

I have bought my wife and daughter several pieces over the years and have always purchased from a small, local, family run shop that has been around for generations. Yes, I probably pay more but the service, help, knowledge, and patience is worth it. Plus, when we have issue with any jewelry, watches, etc, they take care of it for free or at cost.

I have actually found some really nice things on Overstock and, if you don't like it you can easily return it.
