Seriously, what's up with The Weather Channel and the Gloom and Doom coverage? I am so fed up with the horrendous over dramatic news coverage they spew to the public. Every live shot they show pictures the broadcaster all decked out in some ridiculous garb overacting, with people strolling around in shorts and Tshirts behind them.

Anyway, as always...we're fine in Mobile, AL. I enjoyed standing outside on the covered porch last night watching the Steelers pound the Broncos on my outside mounted flat screen 32" LCD TV, not worrying about the impending doom.

When we first moved to the Pcola area, there was a local weatherman that could plot a course for any storm right over our house.

It was amazing(and ridiculous) to say the least. As soon as one would spin up off the Cape Verdes(?), he'd be at his map giving all the plausible trajectories.....which were infinite at that point, ........and be just as sincere as the Pope regarding the impending doom.

The man lived for the opportunities.

TWC is part of NBC and needs to get viewers to justify the cost of the deal. They are turning it in to an entertainment outlet.

It was no big deal here in Baldwin county, 'cept the tide rose quickly enough to spoon my jon boats' transom under a ledge in the boathouse.....it was a close call.


TWC=Heather Tesche, then Stephanie Abrams, in that order.

Don't you get it? With No major storms this year TWC has been going crazy for a story. They are just like any other "news" media. Don't you just love their weather stories, "When Rain Kills", "Wind, Mother Natures Giant Fan" and assorted other crappy "stories". When there is no news they feel forced to make it.
