Default How to keep the cat off the car?

I have a couple of house cats that love to sit on my car because of the heat of the engine when I come home at night. Well of course they leave their little paw prints all over the place on my clean car which makes me touch it up every day! ARGHHH!!!

I love these cats but they might have to go! Give me your suggestions on keeping them off my car other than getting a cover!

Thanks y'all!

Throw an old sheet over the hood, then you will all be happy.

Why have I not thought of that? I feel stupid right now!

Really on the black pepper? They don't like it enough to stay off of it? Is it just the regular pepper we put on our food or like cracked black pepper?

Thanks guys! I'm going to try this stuff tonight!

It will be like a scene from Cool Hand Luke.
A sheet is cheaper in the long run.

Black peper is expensive.....won't it just blow off if it were windy out?

The bed sheet trick......won't it cause the cat's claws to come out as it's trying to gain traction? Claws and paints jobs....eeeeek.

Be interesting to see how that works. Been there done that with a black convertible top.. Sucks

A little OT but in the same vein, A bud tried to add a couple cats to his toy box (a rebuilt 50 x 250 chicken coop) to keep the mice from eating the wires on his toys... Pulls in one night with his pick up and noticed this 'stuff' all over his baby, a black 94 Carrera Turbo 3.6... White cat hair! What was funnier (now) was the thing is so polished the cats had trouble climbing on it.. Cost him $400 to get it buffed out.. I laughed my azz off when he told me.. Now he just uses the mothballs in a stocking thing for the mice and it works..
