Random Quote: My wife told me to quit drinking, smoking and fishing, I think thats called Identity theft.
well 15 years ago I was fishing in st petersburg fl at the docks & hooked the top of a pylon. when I pulled to break the line the 11/2 oz egg sinker rocketed back & nailed my thumb then dropped in the water. I had a nice scratch. The next day I noticed a lump that I could move around & thought the sinker had chipped the upper knuckle when it hit. well 15 years later I was clearing our fence line with a bush axe & the garring gared the chip lose it worked down my thum to the lower joint. it was now bothering me I was thinking about getting it removed but had taped my thumb below the chip in hopes it would work back up my finger. While I was installing my lenco troll n tabs (there awsome) i notice I had a big spot of ****. I grabbed an exacto knife & sterilized the blade & my thumb. I then cut open the pocket & relized I could possibly squeeze out the chip. so I squeezed & out popped a black curly q. looked like a peice of shell well I thought maybe I had gotten some shell on the weight & started squeezing& shifting the lose piece in my thumb after some real squeezing out it popped. A little black berrel ( I couldnt belive it a swivel) the first curly q was part of the ring. after some more squeezing I was able to get out several more pieces of the ring. I went to the doctor for an x-ray just a tiny little pice of the ring remains.
heres some pics..

The pics suck, thank you. Can't believe you had that swivel in there that long.
I got stuck by a pinfish in the top of a knuckle once. About 2 years later I was messing with the lump that had formed, by this time I had forgotten about the pinfish. I squeezed it and out popped a spine about 1/8 inch long.
Wow...Glad it wasn't part of the lead...I kept thinking as I was reading that you were gonna say you pulled out a part of the sinker.
Anyway, did the doc take out the remaining pieces?
I had an aunt who had a sawing needle in her scalp for over 20 years. When she found out about it and got it removed, the needle had rusted to the size of a nail.

I have a piece of pencil lead (actually it's graphite) in the palm of my hand. It's been there since 1968 when I was in second grade. You can still see it under the skin.
first pic sucks but that was when it popped out & I couldn't get a better pic something with the light in the house.
doctor said to leave it it is a tiny piece.
& for some reason it didn't hurt could have been the captain & coke.

I'm glad it was out of focus! That had to be nasty, reminds me of the movie Alien.
the weird thing was i took it out & was still trying to figure out what it was well I set it on the towel it rolled off hit the ground with a fimilar sound thats when I thought thats a swivel.
