The space you are looking at is above the master bedroom on the third level of our house, behind me is the fourth level. It made sense from a design perspective to carry the roofline to the end of the house. The original house was your standard 1950's splitlevel......our renovation added an entire floor above the existing house. If one desired, they could easily convert that attic space into finished space......we didn't want the additional finished space and we didn't need a 20 ft vaulted ceiling in the bedroom.
