I guess it would be more accurate to say I don't like the league. Haven't followed baseball since Roberto Alomar spit in the umps face and got a slap on the wrist, after the playoffs were over. That was it for me.

As far as the sport, get instant replay and stop with this intent or whatever they call it.

Salary cap I could care less about in the NFL or MLB, everybody plays by the same rules. If your owner will spend the money, you might win, not always. Rays proved that last year. That series was the first baseball I've watched in a long time.

Bucs are $31M under the cap and have been for a while. The record shows it.

Don't like the Yankees?
Don't like the lack of Salary Cap?

Or

Do you just like the NFL better?

No matter what your preferrence, its OK, its your opinion, your entitled.

But to realistically compare, you need the numbers.

Here they are:

In the past 10 years, 13 of the NFL's 32 Teams made it to the Superbowl
In the same 10 years, 14 of the MLB's 30 Teams made it to the W.S.

The NFL has had 5 Champions in 8 years
The MLB has had 8 Champions in 9 years

The National League has had 9 Champions in 10 years
In the Past 2 years, 15 of MLB's Teams made the playoffs.

If you don't like the way the Yankees commanded the late nineties, then you probably hated the fact that the Patriots made it to the Superbowl 4 years out of 6.

I suspect a salary cap will not change most of your minds, you probably don't like the sport. It's ok.

Who do you think won the most championships BEFORE free agency in baseball?

Oh, BTW, these numbers are PRE 2009 Baseball playoffs. Just a disclaimer.

I think they are all way over paid art/history/sports management majors that get paid WAY to much for what they do.

If you want real sports played for glory and pride then check out the NCAA.

However this is my opinion and y'all can watch what y'all want to!

The only games I will go to is collegiate sports. I own two sets of different season tickets and I also donate every year also.

I think it is almost illegal what they are doing up there in the "majors."
You don't have to go to any games, a small percentage of overall revenues is made from ticket sales. Do you drink beer or soda or go to movies or fast food restaurants, etc..?? If you do than congratulations, you just helped pay the salaries of the Major League Baseball players, whether you watch a single inning or not.
