Default Selling Goldfish

Well not exactly goldfish, but more specifically Sarasa Comets and Shubunkins all with the butterfly fins. Has anyone ever sold them or the common goldfish to retailers? If so, how did you price the fish out on a wholesale level?

Most of these pics the fish are about 4' down so the quality isn't the best.

Typical Sarasa Comets .....my breeding female

Typical Shubunkins .....my breeding female with a Sarasa in the background

A pic of the Butterfly fins

Garett,
Call a local company that installs coi ponds, ask them if they sell fish and for how much. I would imagine there is a 100% mark up on something like that. Or you could price them at the local fish store, or just call the guy up that owns the store and ask him/her what they would pay for them?

I was in the aquarium industry for many years. I used to buy those from the wholesalers as "feeders" and pick out the nice ones for my customers.

They would be about 2" long but in a nice pond they would be huge in no time and look beautiful like that. They are known as the "poor mans koi" and at pond size (6" +) they used to fetch about 5 bucks each wholesale. Sell retail for 10-15 bucks.

Oh, zero problems at all in an aquarium, they are 100% at home. Yes, shipping them is definitely doable....it happens all the time.
