Default Background check to buy gun "conditional"

Anyone ever heard of this before?
I've had a CWP for about 2 years. This is my first handgun purchase and dealer said The National Instant Criminal Background Check returned as
"conditional" with no explanation. Dealer said this happens sometimes and can delay sale. It's been almost 2 weeks. Could it be because I voted Republican?

Glad our background checks are handled by the State and not National

Have you purchased any other firearm in the last 30 days? I have heard that if you buy within 30 days, sometimes you come back as "conditional".

The NCIS could have been down or something than needs to be looked at manually will delay the "instant check".

The FFL has the ability to sell you the firearm after no response for 3 days, but it is up to them.

Believe it or not, I was denied because I have a FL DL with a NC address on it. The ATF are not the brightest at times.

Nope, Squeaky clean. No tickets. Nothing. Haven't purchased a gun at all since getting CWP.
My place of birth is Los Angeles County and I now reside in Florida.
Dealer did say this may be holding it up. I have heard that some of the ATF people have gotten on somewhat of a power-trip off all the requests for handguns lately and they are not the most astute people to deal with. Hopefully this is all it is.

It's also a small way of snubbing your nose at all the inane rules and regs that mostly just serve to keep more Feds on the payroll.

Can't answer your Q where the closest show to Ct is (but check on some of the websites like TheHighRoad, or maybe NRA), but POC would be the designated "point of contact" who then conducts the background checks as is done in some states.

Probably displaced Acorn people running the show now seeing as how they lost all that funding.

Well then I pulled out my Federal credentials, oops. I get hassled every once in a while. I am a Florida resident (military) and are required to put my current address on my DL. I spoke to the guy at ATF, he was not a nice person and way more arrogant than I am.
