Default YouTube Help

I shot a video that's just over 12 minutes long that I would like to upload to YouTube. Seems they have a limit of 10 minutes, so I'm not sure how to split this thing. I really just need the audio portion to upload, so I was wondering if there is any way to do this as to speed up the process. It takes forever for me to upload even a three minute, standard resolution video.

HELP!!!

Two things.

1.YouTube have policies against those sorts of videos.

2. How the hell did you last 12 minutes?

Seriously, can't help. I have uploaded a couple but all less than a few minutes.

Hey Freebird,
I don't know how to split it.
But you are better off splitting it into three 4minute portions, as oppossed to two 6 minute ones.
More people will watch it and the shorter clips are easier to upload.

I will be interested in hearing what the answer is to your question.
There is probably some video editing program that you will need to download.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

I was able to figure out how to edit start and ending points of the video with the software that came with my video camera. With that, I just uploaded a part two of my video with the remaining three minutes that was cut off.

That software was also set up to where you could upload directly to YouTube with a choice of faster loading or better video quality. With that, it loaded in a fraction of the time it ever took before. Even when I uploaded another video on the better video quality, it loaded much faster. Don't know why that would be, but it did.
