Default Bowhunters?

Anyone having any early season success? The weather has started to turn here in central Atlantic. Highs in the low 60's this week. I am going to cut out early from work today and go out for a couple hours for the first time this season. Hopefully the seagull size skeeters won't drain me.
Where do you hunt? What are the deer like there?
Saw a solid 10 pt - would estimate conservatively 170's 180's few weeks ago, still in velvet, but it was on private property right on the bay owned by a big developer. Wide rack. Pretty deer. My son is still talking about it.
Couple weeks we will have our first frost and that will knock down the skeeters. That's when I will get serious...

Going tomorrow morning for the first time. Southwest Arkansas. Got some decent bucks - one mainframe 13 with a couple of stickers - might gross 170 - 180. Another 10 with some 16" to 18" G2'S and one real nice 8 pt plus a bunch of smaller 8's on down. We are actually in the upper 40's here in the morning which is really cool for this time of year. One of our wettest years on record have produced and ample supply of Pope and Young skeeters. Good luck.

Getting my gear ready this weekend, and will hopefully get out some next week.
Got a week of vacation coming up in the middle of October, probably do a little fishing and hunting that week.
Get a Thermacell for the skeeters and knats, they work really well.

Bagged a doe last nite in MD. Too darn hot to hunt still yet. I travel out west to hunt trophy bucks as the warriors around here dont care at all about management. Went to NM last month but came home empty. Passed up a 300 6x6 as wasnt big enough as already have one that size. Knock em down!!

Running behind this year, first time in the woods with my bow since our season opened 9/15. Missed a big boar hog tonight at 30 yds, full moon is killing me right now.

Will be back at it hard this fri, sat and Sunday our gun season opens
