Has anyone else noticed that your speed is identical whether you use the jib or spinnaker?

Yep, I keep changing them but it doesn't change the speed. I might just switch to the auto sail option to make it easier when I am away. Or maybe it doesn't matter. Either way, I am clipping along at over 11 knots right now.

That's a great link, shadco. I set it up and saw that the wind will be coming straight at me in 3 days if I stayed on the same route...so took a header to the East and will try to hug the coast where there is supposed to be good wind. We'll see.

What's nice is having a second wind resource to figure things by. Now if I could only overlay the boat on the new chart!

It's pretty funny watching everyone, including me, trying to find a way around that dead wind area that spreads right across the course.
