Default How's Your Summer Been?

How's your summer been, weather wise?

Ours, up here in southern Ontario has sucked big time!
Other than those two or three days we had in the 90's and low 100's we've been stuck in a Spring weather pattern.....it's like summer hasn't arrived yet.
Pretty much every morning the temp is in the high 40's to mid 50's, it's rare to see low 60's at 6 - 6:30am.
So far I would say our daytime temp would be averaging somewhere in the 67° range.... ....crips we should be 30° warmer then that! Along with the lower temperatures we've been getting a ton of rain. When it rains, it's nothing to get several inches at a time!

Last year was a crappy summer that never kicked in and was known for it's thunder storms. This year's summer, well it just hasn't arrived yet and there has been a LOT of rain!

Hi Garrett: I live in London, ON and the weather has been terrible. Only been out 5x so far and the fishing has not been great. I don't remember any temperature being 100. Where are you fishing? Dwain

Very rainy Spring which should have kept the sea nettles out of the Bay but did not. They arrived eralier than normal

Overall very nice weather - no high heat or humidity

So much for global warming

This has been a beat down summer here at San Antonio, central Texas. Over 100 degrees every day and NO Rain. Saw 109 on the truck's thermometer on Sunday.

A few of our lakes are near 50% capacity.

Best summer to date, no question about it.

Started the boat up this past April with 226 hours on the motor and now have 276, and I drift fish a lot or am on the hook more than 1/2 the time.

Engine is running fine, boat is now set up exactly as I want it, what more can a guy ask for? I get out of a Corvette, walk down a dock onto a boat, I mean, what beats that?

The fish have been biting, I've been eating well, other people cook incredible meals for me/us/the family, when dinnertime comes. Mmmmmmm.

My nephew who is now 7 is a certified fishing nut, he calls me to ask me when I'm coming down so we can go fishing. I'm teaching him a little at a time and he helps and does anything I ask of him, what a deal. Then when all is said and done, I can send him back to his parents. At least I have a buddy that I can fish with who will almost never complain and always wants to go. Even took him eel fishing the other night and we had gone out that day for fluke, then he stayed up till midnight while we slung eels, he was a trooper for sure!

It is summertime in New England, the season I truly wait for and love the most.

Pretty boring, most of my friends have been laid off so they cant afford to do anything. I can only swing so much gas money in the boat before i run out as well.

I was telling someone the other day that this is the most boring summer we've had in a long time. It's been very hot, which hasn't helped. But I really think it has more to do with the economy. We aren't travelling much this summer and are trying to watch our pennies a bit more. I know that I'm the one in control of my own 'boredom' but we just aren't getting out as much as we used to in years past.

Cold here in N. central MN. Was at bro's place in Pensacola last week fishing and had my mom staying with my dogs. She called to ask how to turn the furnace on, 56 degrees for a high that day and not above 60 for 3 days. You think some of you guys down south could turn on a bunch of fans and point them north

Great summer so far. Hot and hazy Carolina summer. Water temps in the low 80's. My kids 3 and 1 have been introduced to boating and swimmming and have taken to the water pretty good.

That "one" day we had were the thermometer registered 104° was either the 23rd or 24th of June.....it's been down hill ever since.

I generally get out on Lake Erie, but in the fall I'll generally hit Lake Ontario for the big fish. This year fishing has been poor out out Long Point. Where do you go, Lake Erie out of Post Stanley or do you slide down to Wallacetown?

This is a Life is great post not a weather post. Where I am the weather has sucked. 24 hours of nice weather at best then a change or the threat of a change. Windy conditions for July that is for sure. Basically, it has been May/June weather during July. Very odd.

Summers been great here. It hasn't gotten much over 90 and the humidity has been low (except for today). It has been the best summer I can recall. Plus the garden is doing great and we have been catching a lot of crabs. Although the white mold stuff is starting to attack our squash plants and cucumbers.

S.E. Florida. Last couple of years the weather has been weird and unpredictable. This Summer seems to be back to normal. Sea's are flat, fishing is good. Hot and muggy till our daily afternoon rains hit for a couple of hours. Back to mowing the yard every 5 days.

Hi Garrett: I usually go out of Erieau, and then Port Glasgow and in early summer Leamington. Tomorrow we are heading down to Lake Ontario (Bronte Marina) for salmon fishing. I will be leaving the boat there for the next couple of weeks. In September we usually head to Lake St Clair for Musky fishing. My friend (now deceased) had a trailer down at Sand Boy Marina, Long Point. We would do some bass fishing and mostly drink. Tried out around the point in the 150+ foot area but never caught anything due to the rough weather. Take care. Dwain
