Unhappy Now that WaMU is gone... I keep hearing horror stories.

I finally sat down to read the new T&C pamphlet i got in the mail and it does not look good. Looks like they are going to bleed me dry with fees.
I am curious as to what others are doing or moving to. Capital one perhaps? BAC?

Agreed with the WAMU problem, I had a no annual fee, no charge for additional cards, free credit scores, and guaranteed fixed rate for life with them. I received my new terms and conditions ... and found .. an annual fee, charge for additional cards, no more credit scores, and an outrageous variable rate. I have capital one as well and they are not much better. Not sure who is going to be my knew "go to" card company. The AMEX 1 percent card is still decent.

By the way when I called in to see what could be done about this ... I was told "nothing" .. current economic conditions are the sole reason for the change.

They are all thieves enabled by CONGRESS !!!

I went to credit union---and I write checkes now instead of using credit card or debit card. Let them have to fil out deposit slips, go to bank and let the damned bank have to process something for the fee's.

I refuse to shop where they run check as debit at cash register---and now I ask to eb sure they aren't doing that either. I got to register the other day and they started to process check as a debit and I stopped the transaction because they failed to tell me they were going to do that---.

We need to elect only new comers--throw out ALL incumbants.

I am not totally against electronic payment processing.... it is how I make a living ... but on the acquiring / merchant side. My gripe like timebandit said are the changes to my cardholder agreement on my issued cards
