Default Painting White PVC Pipe for UV Protection

What is the best paint product (to spray or brush apply) to keep white PVC pipe from deteriorating in the strong Florida sunshine over many years?

Krylon I think makes a spray paint for plastic lawn chairs and such, my wife painted a few chairs a couple of years ago and the paint still looks good, I believe it has some flex in it

Virtually any paint will work as long as it blocks the UV. I used house paint on some exposed PVC so it would blend in with the trim. The plastic paint mentioned above sounds like the perfect solution though.

Clean it and scuff the surface (scotchbrite) before painting it and it should adhere better.

Thank you gentlemen for the ideas.

I'm not sure what UV blocking claims are made on paint cans (spray or conventional), but I will look. Flexible adhesion properties to enable the paint to stay bonded to PVC pipe that will flex slightly is definitely an important factor. Good surface preparation will also be important.

Unpainted I bet the pipe outlast the paint.

I got some PVC pipe laying exposed to sunlight out behind my barn, been there ten years maybe longer, it ain't cracked broke or nothing.

Does your PVC have to be white ?

You could always use the gray "electrical " PVC...it is UV resistant.

I already have the white PVC pipe in use. Now that you mention it, the gray PVC pipe with UV protection built in would have been a better choice. Hindsight is always 20 -20.
