Fried wild turkey breast-strips. Sprinkled with lemon-pepper & Tony Chachere's creole seasoning before battering. Potato salad & baked beans, biscuits. " A country boy can survive on that!"
Oh yeah, homemade iced lemon cupcakes for dessert.

Fresh Bay Scallops sauteed in butter.

Fresh mussels steamed in white wine and garlic

Fresh Squid, cleaned, body sliced into rings, tentacles whole, sauteed in a beer garlic batter in a frying pan for about 60-90 seconds.

Along with a bottle of 2007 MUDD Vinyard Sauvignon Blanc

My wife and I couldn't eat it all so I had the leftover for breakfast this morning.

Tonight its going to be fluke from last august. Not sure yet how its going to be prepared.

I have to agree as well, some of you ate really well. But I've got you all beat.

The mid afternoon started off with two 710 ml bottles of ice cold Coronas. Then followed by a half dozen 340 ml cans of Lake Port, three more 710 ml Corona beers, a 341 ml bottle of Molson Canadain, two OV's (beers), several more big bottles of Corona (none with fruit), two cans of Molson's Black Ice (750 ml) and for a night cap another 710 ml Corona. And for desert, it was all the laughter we could stomach.

Orange Roughy prepared like this. 1/4" hot oil in the fry pan.

Liquid ingredients:
Blend 1 teaspoon of Tarragon, 1/2 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce, 1/8 teaspoon each of salt and fresh ground black pepper and 1 cup of milk.

Dry ingredients:
3/4 cup of flour and 1/4 cup of white cornmeal

Dredge the roughy in the liquid and then the dry ingredients, repeat again for thicker coating.

Fry till flakey, about 3-4 minutes per side

Serve with home made cheddar garlic biscuits drowned in butter, a nice dark salad with Romaine and spinach leaves along with mushrooms, Roquefort cheese crumbles and wine of your choice.

A meal fir for a king and his queen.
