My bud has the one that will chamber .410's or 45LC, it's a fricken beast!

Perfect home defense revolver!

The three inch chamber is more versatile.

Go with the three inch. I have a Thompson Center Contender originally chambered for .45, and I had the chamber lengthened to handle 3 inch .410. It is the AntiChrist for snakes. I can't imagine a revolver that would hold several rounds...

I'd go stainless and 3". Makes a big difference if you plan to shoot the 410 buckshot.

Thumbs down

The Judge is a junk gun. There has been lots and lots of problems with them: timing, lock up, literally falling apart. Just google Taurus Judge issues/problems at google or at www.thefiringline.com

I won't own one.

'ol granddad won the lottery, got free room and board in Leavenworth for trying to buy a judge. I can't remember if it was before Leavenworth for bootlegging, or before the arson thing.

The idea of the judge is cool but it just doesn't work. .410 is not a good round for anything but squirrels, and out of the revolver barrel its much worse. If I were you I would reconsider buying the Judge. It is not a good gun for defense.

I've only put a few rounds through one but I wouldn't want to be on the business end of 000 buck 5 pellet, 3 inch .410 shell.

I learned something I didn't know here. I didn't think you could get buckshot in a .410 shell. Is it 00 buck, or a smaller buckshot?

Thanks abeal!

000. All the pellets are in a line in the shell. Look pretty neat. Never fired one though.
