With high unemployment, trashed stock market investments and the like, how will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
If anything I hope to spend more time on the boat as I'll need all the therapy I'll be able to get. Don't think I'll burn as much gas as in previous years but I'll be on it more often - I hope.

Well if gas prices don't jump to $4.00 a gallon I will probably do alot more boating this year. The main reason is my daughter will be almost 3 and I will feel more comfortable taking her out on the water.
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
hoping to be a little less busy this year and spend more time on the boat. Careful what we wish for though. Too much time and I'll be sitting on my boat worrying!!
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
boats paid for, and most of our boating involves short runs, and not too terribly much fuel burn. I am just hoping that getting married doesn't kill it. Her I am not worried about, she loves the boat, it's all the other BS that you have to do to get ready for the day that I can see as being the downfall.
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
I hope to do more salt water fishing down here. Boat use up north will be about the same. Unless I sell it. Guy that was working for me was just begging me to sell it to him but we all know how that works.

I've never been a racist. I don't like the white half either.
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
I will be out as much as possible, like any other year. I think I will be out a bit more becasue I have a lot of vacation saved up and will need to burn it all off this upcoming spring/summer. I can hardly wait.
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
Since the Seafox runs on fumes I'll either (a) boat about the same, if I keep my job (b) boat more, if I lose my job and spend time unemployed or (c) boat less, if I keep my job but have to pick up work from my unemployed collegues

Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
boat is paid for. The office is deathly slow...sooo...I guess I'll be letting the 454's roar and burn fuel that is half what it did cost...i forsee some serious hours ahead!
Re: How will the economy impact your boating in 2009?
I am hoping to do more boating. I am hoping the wind is better this year than last so I can spend more time offshore learning seamanship and cathing some fish!
