The other equally disgusting beer of that era (or error) was Schaffer (I don't remember how to spell it)....

Hey, I loved Schaffer Beer! I could hear my dad, in the basement, open a can. I'd be up three flights of stairs and race to the basement to get the first swig! I was probably only ten when I started doing this!

The list is long and illustrious....so is my checkered past....just don't tell
my kids
But I remember Boone's Farm. And of course who can forget the
Mad Dog 20/20. We found a store that sold it in the old bottle.
Of cousre the older wine was better I mean what more could
you ask for $1.69 per quart.
Orange Driver was a "fortified wine" in an orange flavored mix. 20% alcohol content. Bad mojo when mixed with 16 year old teenage boys, ski boat, and lake full of codgeredly old fishermen.
I suppose hat there are many sportman's paradise, the one I am thinking of is Bosch Beer - brewed in Lake Linden, Michigan. Stuff was so alcoholic that it would not freeze,.....
