Default Greatest Sporting event

along the lines of another thread now running about biggest chokes...I thought about what are the most memorable or greatest sporting events that you remember?
A couple of mine:
Jack Nickalaus 86 Masters
1980 US Olympic Hockey game
The thrilla in Manilla
Some of the Celts Lakers games during the LB era.
1984 ALCS

I'd say either the 1999 or 2005 Tour de France.

The first year Armstrong won or the last.

Attended - 1977 FA Cup Final - Wembley Stadium London. Manchester United Versus Liverpool. The West End before and after the game was incredible!

Watched - The Grand National from Aintree Race Course. For those with a flavor for history take a look. This was the 1967 Grand National. Over 40 horses start and most years half do not make the finish. In 1967 there was a surprise at the 23rd fence (if you can call them fences at 8 foot high). Scroll the timer bar to 4:20 and watch the end. Incredible! It was so unexpected that neither the owner nor the trainer bothered to go to the race course!
