I love these stories. Many men have rowed long distances in open water in small boats. And you will read countless posts by guys asking whether it's safe to take their 23 ft CC 20 - 30 miles offshore. And they carry sea tow, 5 grand in electronics and a 4 stroke Yamaha.

The article on that same site about the people who crossed the Pacific on "junk" was equally amazing/crazy/stupid.

How did his legs not atrophy? Looked like he just jumped off the boat and was fine...what a survivor!
