Are radio stations in your area playing Christmas music around the clock since Halloween? We have 4 or 5 stations doing this and frankly I can't stand it.
I love my Italian heritage, but if I hear Domenic the donkey again today,I'm gonna freak !
Not in my area. I think they are afraid to do it, you know, God thing. I wish they would though. You are right though, change the frequency, don't demand others to change to make you happy.

I have 1 station in my area that started playing it 24/7 about a week after the election. Normally, I don't mind the holiday music, but, come on now, TWO MONTHS EARLY!!!!!! Too Much.
I also can't stand the retailers who have their christmas display out in August or right after Labor Day. Unfortunately, my wife is a big holiday fan, seem to never get enough new junk for each year.
The boss turned it on at work on Monday. The speaker is right above my head! If I can make it thru till Sunday I am coming in and disconnecting the speaker. I might go postal before then.
a station around here did it...I wonder if they just layed off the employees until after christmas is over and let the computer take over with Dominick the Donkey, the Cheech and Chong Christmas song and Feliz Navidad.
charlie brown is the only christmas music!
I can't stand the rest. yes, they start playing that crap WAY too early here too. drives me nuts. no you can't avoid it .it's everywhere.
First, it is Christmas music, not Holiday music. If I have one more store clerk tell me Happy Holidays, I think I'll scream. They're obviously told to say this so as to not offend anyone. That's half the problem. Why should any American be offended by being told Merry Christmas? Sorry, but ya ain't taking Christmas away from me, try as you might.
Second, I agree, and think radio stations play the seasonal music WAY too early. By the time Christmas comes around, we're all sick of the tunes that have been rammed down our throats for 70+/- days.
My choice would be to hear the Christmas music for about a week or so proceeding Christmas, but that's just me.

I think it is the Narada label that put out a CD collection of Christmas music that I listen to year around. It is instrumental only, no singing, beautiful music that stands on its own without the need to associate with a holiday season.
And I never get tired of hearing the crooners sing Christmas music because their voices were so superb; Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra ... Ok, toss Julie London in there, too.

On the way to work this morning I was cranking the chipmunks singing "Santa Clause Is Comming To Town". Then I realized my wife was on a bus trip with all these ladies going on a christmas shopping spree. Last year they took a full bus and when the day was over they did not have enough room for all of the bags. So this year they only filled the bus up 3/4 of the way full.
