I just checked a couple of sites and am getting around 700 up and between 800 and 900 down. I had some problems with an antenna that was about the size of a legal pad. They brought me one of the aluminum ones that came off of their tower that must be 3 feet across and it really helped. They also told me they could put a booster on it but the birds might fall out of the sky when they flew by.

For you guys getting 2000-3000 it must be like changing channels on your TV.

I just tried the toast.net again and got 2452k that time with the pic and the text. That's a cool site. I'd have hated to see what it actually said when I was on dialup. I don't know how I got through the last 2 months with a broken leg on dialup. I should have taken care of this cable thing right after the break.

As I understand the centrino (sp) processor, it's biggest selling point is a power management system that it has. Very good in laptops because it conserves the battery but definately not needed to go wireless.

OCNSLR- great test site! I did most of the tests and everything came up aces!

Do you know of a site or program which can do the same thing but this time to my desktop itself? The thing runs (not internet connection) like crap and has some USB issues. Its an old desktop (400mhz) and running windows 98.
