I was up till 1:30am making sure I rounded the buoy, when I thought I was clear I went to bed. This morning I was still doing 8 knts but hadn't moved an inch and lost 15k places, not sure how you can be grounded and it still say you are moving. I am back underway after a heading adjustment. Glad its just a game that would have been a costly and dangerous miscalculation.
It could be worse. I have been sitting at 11 knots on the buoy for 36 hours. My screen made it appear that I clearly rounded the buoy 36 hours ago and I was going to make a serious move towards the lead!! Nope! I am ready for the next leg to start! When is my teleport?!

The list is valuable to see where we are in relation.

I am now drifting along at .2 knots. Oh well, at this speed should be able to troll a tube and worm and land some stripers.
Now you're talking! FISH ON Brotha! Make the best of the situation RIB. I'm happy to be dead last...just think about all the improvement I can make on the next leg!!

adavefish2 - 12/22/2008 8:29 AM Just had to leave the boat for about 12 hours and soared way north. All the other trailing boats blasted in under me. Damn! Anyway, I'm back in the swing of things, but gotta make up tons of ground. Hey Malloy, I'm trying! Hope I can stay on the list but I see your point----and thanks again for making the list so nice. It's a great reference! good luck guys, looks like a long slower trip southwest to Singapore.
Haha.. No worries there. Bad luck or long flights wont get you kicked Its fun to make the list and feeds my new obsession. But Ill only do it if you guys think its worthwile too. The Feedback is appreciated so thanks.

You're doing a god job,thanks

On That Note.......

Dammit... I am only 80 miles behind the leaders which means 7000+ places...wow

Okay, updated Standing..One extra column added to show the changes... Little bit of bragging too because Split Seconds Captain just earned himself a raise

BTW, was Cillywon in for the whole leg? Just couldn't remember. If he stared halfway I think he gets the same treatment as Reel did on the last leg, we all have to be even. If he's been there the whole time then Wow, great job

Pretty obvious about what I said earlier... it seems 32 on down are not even trying

This drifting is killing me!! According to the chart boats around me are making 6 knots, yet I sit in 1.1 knots of wind!!

I hope you guys get to sleep at night. I got the admiral a boat (Newcomer 47) and she's way ahead of me, laughing her buns off right about now! leg 4 is shaping up to be a real grudge match.

Correct, I contacted the team but have not heard anything. I can't control the boat anyway. Somehow my name got attached. No big deal

Found the area of dead wind many of you have been ''exploring for hours''. I am on the edge of it and turning around, I went from doing almost 12 kts heading south to doing 5kts heading east!

I see Kingair is stuck in the "Bermuda Triangle"!

WARNING!!! Somali pirates have been spotted along this coast!

Exackly. After the pirates have their way with the guys in front of me, it should be clear sailing for me. Good thing I packed some Double Ought Buck and a good retriever in the hold. I might sell some of ya'lls stuff back to your widows at the bar in the Singapore Sling...
