Well I received an activation code in my email, that along with deleting my cookies and I am back in the game and did not lose any places. Intersting but no complaints. At first, I thought I would have to start over!

I'm at 1023 DTF, rank 16743. The new mid chart wind direction is helping me out very nicely!

They updated the winds?
I thought they had, but now I see they are still the 7am EST winds.

No wind updates yet

"We are aware of the problems concerning boat positions and the 23:00 (GMT+1) wind update and are doing our utmost best to resolve the situation. For now it is safe to continue sailing on the old winds. Good luck in these hard times!"

not that rankings are meaningful, but the do serve to validate our course selections. My computer has differed from my wife's by a long shot; both with information and with the boats on the screen.
Currently it says that I'm 1020 from the target and the leaders are 1041. They, of course, are ranked 1,2,3 and I'm ranked 22139.

If anybody's on their computer, I'd apprecitate knowing what yours says about the numbers for the leaders and for my boat to see whether these numbers are different for everybody.

Ok so the winds are not changing, and the rankings are off. I got that but is my boat physically moving on the map, it seems like I have been in the same position a long time considering 10knts, I am picking up places quickly but need to know if I need to head North before I run too far South. If the picture is right I should be ok a little longer. I am 1020 DTF and sitting at 22201...

Freedom, you show the same on my computer (1018 now). Heading is 123 and you found some nicer wind than I'm using!

Nice to see I'm currently in under 10K. Those narrows are going to be a bitch, especially since I'll be at the in laws all day Sunday and my iPhone does not have Flash.

I feel your pain. There was a work around for the i phone and blackberry, but it requires sending pages to another server and people have had issues even getting it to work. I have a home security system that uses an applet, but not on the i phone or blackberry. It will be funny to see 100k boats in that channel.

I do not put too much stock in those standings. It looks like they measure by "as the crow flies". Many of the southern boats that are ahead of the northern boats can not make the mark without two tacks.

For example, given the locations and wind conditions, I do not see how Kingair can make the mark before the northern group.

Just my observations.

Oh what little faith you have in Kingair

Don't worry about me, my master plan is solid. Don't forget this things goes to June 09 and I work very little.

I was only using you as an example because you were shown as number 1 on the chart.

Anything can happen. Last leg I was doing well, than died in no wind, and then ran aground, finishing DAYS behind everyone.

So, race on!
