Well, it could be more interesting than that. It's had me hard aground, position unchanged, for twenty minutes now. Despite the fact that it shows me also doing 18.6 kts. directly away from that land for those twenty minutes, with no apparant motion.

Well, on that note, I think I will go read a few chapters and fall asleep. Can't compete with that kind of random handicap.

I have wasted 8 hours trying to get through that channel. This game has really tested my patience. I hope a doctor never tells me I have 8 hours to live, and realize I wasted it on a game that does not work.

I really, actually did just throw up my hands and walk away from it yesterday. Don't need the annoyance of, essentially, having to work to get permission and delays to change sails or headings. Whats the point?

SO we have been trying to get the sail figured out on this new, Mirage Drive powered inflatble kayak. But everytime we took it out with the sail, the winds were too strong. Finally, yesterday, we had winds under 10 kts and got the sail up. Its a fun little assist. And those Mirage Drives are awesome. Fantastic for knee rehab.

Amen to that, Kingair. It has been SILLY trying to navigate the channel. I refuse to quit, because I am not a quitter by nature, but this is SILLY.

Good thing its just a game.

Wow. What a farce. I just got home, after being out for three hours. I checked the boat, even though I gave up competing yesterday. It has been on a NW heading, at around 9 kts. for three hours. Plotting the Lat/Long puts the boat three miles due EAST of where it was three hours ago. Physical impossibility.

Well, unless I am looking at about a twelve knot current from the WNW...

and I don't think so.

So then just for the heck of it, I tracked back along the trail it shows where the boat has supposedly been. Major errors. This program is showing me as having passed on the wrong side of the island in the southern Oresund area, north of the bridge.

Hey, if it doesn't have a clue within six or seven miles where I was at three oclock yesterday, how the hell does it know where I have been any time since then?

I got stuck in that channel after a day of trying to get online! When I finally got thru and was at least 50 miles south. But when I logged back on I was stuck in the channel again????? I ended up finishing anyway but lost thousands of places!

I should be in before the next go round.

Trying to nip Reefraft at the post for first but he might have the edge!

REEFRAFT YOU'RE AGROUND - WAKE UP MAN.

Much as I would like to come first I don't want it to come off the back of another's grounding.

Reefraft - you need to head back directly the way you came for about a mile then head back north!
