This dam game is worse than crack. However, with my attention span I don't think I'll be making it much past the next check point. We need the Lake Erie version of this.

Reel Confusion is our great white hope here! He hasn't posted on here in a while but I see his boat adjusting course by the half hour! He must really be focused I hope he passes the leaders for all of us powerboaters!!!

Overnight was slow going for me. I lost 1074 places. The good news is I'm catching up to La Vela, Kingair and Lickety Split. Of course, you guys will find good air before me so my good fortune will be short lived.

Oh well, that's virtual racing. At least I'm not wet and cold while I'm getting my but kicked.

Kingair,
I had the same problem. Clicked on a different VOR address in the dropdown and it opened up.

I wake up and my boat has been cruising 1 knot all night and Kingair rammed me in the side!! The wind forecast is terrible. Where I am was supposed to be the only area with good winds!!

Dammit! sailing in this virtual dead wind is almost as bad as sailing in real dead wind. Im willing to bet that The guys on my boat are vitually drunk as hell by now!

I'm not a fair weather sailor! They are going to lose a lot of people from the game if they don't pick the winds back up!! My boat is already *****ed sailing out in the middle of nowhere.. I thought that I was going to scream to the finish line.. instead I lost 8500 places in 12 hours!!

How do they start the next race? Does it start on a certain day?.. or does the first place boat start as soon as it rounds the mark? I don't think I'll ever make it to the finish line!!

I think they start it on a certain day, weather you finished or not.

Scoring for each leg of the Virtual Ocean race Game
Each leg of The Virtual Ocean Race Game series will use a low points scoring system eg 1st will score 1 point. 2nd will score 2 points, 3rd will score 3 points and so on. If you do not start the leg, finish the leg or are disqualified you will score the number of entries in the leg plus 1.

The overall score for the Virtual Ocean Race Game shall be determined by adding together the accumulated scores of the Yacht's best 6 scores from legs 1 to 9 (discarding the 3 worst) but these must include the points scored in legs 5, 7 and 9. The Yacht with the lowest score will be the winner.

That can't be right?

Otherwise all of us apart from Reel Confusion are wasting our time?
