I just called the same thing in another thread here Al, but saw today's intraday low as 'bottom'. We'll see your numbers, but perhaps not as a close?
If we're both wrong, well, good, I like the company
I like the new sig too. Tell you what, when we get back to 11500? I'll send you a bottle of Sapphire to mark the halfway point to a new record ceiling. Heck, if you're going to be Bullish, go large.
If you guys are correct I missed the bottom and will be out of the market for one whole week on a fishing vacation in the boonies, no way to buy stock except by phone which triples the commission.

Oh well, wish me luck on the fishing.

Ray,
Send me 100 grand and I'll make sure you get in. No commission, just remember about the numbered account.
I'm serious about the bottom.

Makes you wonder what General Motors at about $4.50 today will look like in five years. I told my wife to open an E-trade account and buy $20,000 worth. She didn't do it so we laughed and said OK let's just see where it ends up.
We always do this, make no money, lose no money, and we will die not rich or broke.

Well I hope so. Just because Paulson said they are going to buy stock in some banks don't mean were out of the woods yet. I did like what I saw today in the market, but still, if we don't see a bottom in the next two weeks were in hell. We could get a nice rally come Monday or Tuesday. I hope so.

I think Monday is a federal holiday sm. The Exchange will be open for trading, but the bond market will be closed. Not really sure why, or the mechanics of it, but the traders call it "Scary Halloween", usual trading trends fall to unpredictable swings (gee, what else is new?). Not for nothin' but if Monday falls short in your expectations this might be a psychological way of dismissing it?
Fingers crossed. Think I'm gonna do some Gooooooogling on the G7 meeting. Hopefully those guys are getting some good work done. I've baked in strides there to my 'bottom call'. The UK has made some great calls with their situation; backing loans from banks to other banks without huge government liquidity injections that will just sit on balance sheets. For once I hope the Fed will sit back, shut up, and listen to others. Obviously the US has been too self-righteous as of late (decades) with regard.
