At least as far as I can see, and truly not knowing all that much about the market, I think the bottom has passed. Many say we are in for more hurt and for the markets to go even lower, but how much worse can it get without just outright killing 50% of the worlds population? Of course, who ever thought in their wildest dreams that gas would go back BELOW the prices they were before Katrina in 2005?

What, really, does it take for the market to go down to 7,000-5,000?, for everyone to sell off all their stocks? The majority of companies to lose all profits?

I'm still absolutely loving the volatility and hope it does not end anytime soon.

Yes, Fidhook was my prophet back this summer. I remember his post well as he was about the only one who I had seen anywhere write about it. I truly believed him too as I wanted it to happen. I had this feeling that the price would drop, but not like it has to the level it has now, maybe around $2.50 a gallon, but not the $1.77 at the station by my house where I remember the last time it was $1.79 in late August 2005, right before Katrina.

Thanks, I expected somehow OIL to drop to 50/60, below 50 I wasn't expecting.
if it does not stabilze around 40doll/barrel, 25/30 is unlikey, however possible.

On the way home tonight I heard analysts on the radio saying that oil will go down to the 20's. However, if analysts are saying it then I doubt it will happen.

Of course we are all glued to your next prediction oh great one.

I'm trying to find the the post, I know was over 8 months and less than a year old.

nothing gets lost in this digital age...

I just which I could ressurect that post, I was called stupid, that oil will go to
200 doll a barrel, etc etc... the "experts" were saying so, they had graphs with the peak oil theory and everthing.

I Remember I said: this is my unbiased opinion and stopped saying stuff as I felt "out of place".

Ferrari sales, I heard are 35 percent higher than normal.
thats when you know we are in a recession.

People cash out from the Stock market and normally there's a greater demand for certain luxury products...
I always love when people quote facts that are made up to support their opinions!

Ferrari YTD sales are DOWN 2.1%

http://www.aiada.org/newsroom/newsDe...75&cmd=article

YTD sales....
Bentley down 30.9%
Lambo down 14,5%
Porsche down 24.9% (down 48.2% last month)

yeah, in North America they are down, the rest of the world
Ferrari sales have been growing.

http://www.eurocarblog.com/post/1316...ferrari-models

http://www.eurocarblog.com/tag/sales

Ferrari loves "Recessions", is proven they sell more vehicle's during tough times than times whe the Economy is doing good.

This is not a opinion, its a fact.

I shorted oil back in April, and posted about having a short position a few months ago when Oil was kicking at 150 a barrel. I was betting on $60.00 barrel by mid-Nov. I won.

No, it does not make me a genius, it makes me nothing other than some profit.

I am going to short oil again, because we will see 23 - 25 bucks a barrel before we see it march back to 80-ish levels.

Hay nat, wanna piece of that action?? Oh yeah, I forgot, you only preach, you don't practice.

I think the corporate bloodletting is just nicely underway. The volume of layoffs currently being seen will continue and probably even increase in the first and second qtr 2009. Dow will have hit somewhere between 5500-6000 before May. Hang on to your hats boys, I doubt that the USA will be the same place on the other side of this. Heck...........it's not the same place right now. Do you comprehend that you personally are backing mortgages for the US gubmint?

With the DOW up over 9,000 right now, it is hard to see it going, as some have mentioned, anywhere from 5-7,000. With all the bad news/reports that have been out for the past few months, and with all the help our US Govt. has pledged, might the bottom have passed?

Did you not read my thread?

I missed the level by 100 points, and about 3 weeks.

Carry on.
