Did I hear this morning that they have a payroll that is only in the $20 million range? Sounds like my new favorite team!

I actually rooted against the home town characterless-Mets this year, and their obviously discriminatory hiring practices.

I believe the Marlins are around the$20 million range. The Rays spent around $43 million this year. Which is still a far cry from the Mets $137 million or the Yankees $207 million. They are second from the last in terms of dollars spent and are going to win a World Series You gotta love baseball!

No matter what happens with the Ray/Sox series the Rays will be around for a long time with their youthful lineup and unbelievably low payroll.

Rays payroll is $43 million. Red Sox payroll is $133 million. Yankees are over $200 million ($211 million I think).
