Default Tormek Knife Sharpener

Has anyone had any experence using the Tormek to sharpen the flexible fillet knives?
I believe that I have tried every knife sharpening gadget that has ever been manufactured except the Tormek and my results to this point have been less than stellar.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Default Re: Tormek Knife Sharpener

I use the Tormack for sharpening chisels and plane irons. These are not flexible blades though. For fillet knives I grind the primary bevel with a coarse stone or even 320 or 400 wet sandpaper on glass until I can feel or see the edge burr. I use some crock sticks for the secondary bevel, then hone it with some flitz polish on a felt wheel in a dremel tool.

hope this helps,

Joe
