Not another anti-America rant? Please listen to those who have the redesigned Sequoia or Yukon. I have the new style Silverado, and it is the best GM interior I have ever been in, and the drive, engine, smoothness, and gas mileage is impressive. I get 22 on the highway driving conservatively. I don't thing the Toyota comes close.
Feel free to drive both before you drink the Toyota Kool Aid. If you buy the GM you benefit from pricing that reflects a poor quality legacy in a high quality car. If you buy the Toyota you pay the price tag for a legacy of high quality, but get a vehicle whose quality no where near matches the hype. I traded in my 2007 Tacoma and was happy I did.
My wife's Tahoe has 100000. I put brakes on it twice, and changed fluids. My 2005 Duramax is a comfortable tank. My 95 Silverado with the 454 sucked gas bad. My '77 Jimmy K5 with a 454 sucks gas bad, but is the greatest plow truck! I kind of like chevy's, so I am biased, although I have a Honda s2000 as well... Sit in them both and decide which you like from the inside better. Both are well built.
Give me a flippin break. Do you really believe that your GM is made with all American parts. Do you think Toyota became what they are by selling junk? And do you think anyone driving a Jap is anti-American. I don't want to hijack this thread but had to comment.
The Big 3 have been towing big boats, and other heavy equipment, for a long, long time... even before Toyota was in existence. They know how to make something tow right. The Asian makes are still playing ketchup... the Toyota is a pretty tough machine, but in the end, just like the name says when read backwards, it's just A-TOY...
The Sequoia we have has not been the greatest. AC has failed 3 times, oil pressure sending unit failed, 1 set of tires in 40K. Of course the AC failed only when it was hot as hell out. They moused it the first time when it was covered, said they fixed it the second time, I was a little upset on the 3rd try and told them not to return the truck untill they ripped the system apart and found the reason and I don't care how much it costs.
I'd buy the Made In Mexico Yukon with Japan parts in it.

I've never been a racist. I don't like the white half either.

I have owned late model Toyotas and GM's. Have you? Drop your pants and your agenda. Are you a Toyota dealer, or do you work at one? And I do not have any anti-Japan agenda; I am a big fan of Honda products.
Is it just me or does the '08 Sequoia look like a minivan?
I am starting to look at a replacement for my 05' suburban and after looking at both the Yukon, Sequoia and a few others, I am going with the Yukon. I like the interior of the Yukon a lot better than the Sequoia.
Test drove both and I've owned 3 new Toyotas and love them but just picked up a new Yukon XL and it is a winner hands down. Most comfortable vehicle I've owned for traveling.
