Nice. Hope we get them all back safe and sound when their job is done.
Here is one I post every Memorial weekend. It is called Green Fields of France and was written by Eric Bogle. His own version is the best but is sung is a very strong accent and it is sometimes hard to hear the lyrics. This one is clearer.
While set in WWI I think it nicely gets across the bravery of those who serve and what they do, plus the horrors of war. And we should remember all who have served in wars past. There's always dust in to room when I listen to this song.
The lines near the end are telling.. WWI was called the "war to end wars", but it has happened time and time again due to "man's indifference to man" - powerful stuff.
